Terms of use
Last updated: 12 April 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Rentals, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
We provide an online platform that connects people seeking help (e.g. housing, education, legal information, general support) with organisations that offer related services. We are not a law firm, housing agency, or government authority unless expressly stated in a separate agreement.
Features may change over time. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must be legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You may not impersonate others or create accounts for abusive or fraudulent purposes.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including: unlawful activity; harassment; distributing malware; scraping or automated access that harms performance without permission; circumventing security; or infringing others’ rights.
We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary.
5. Content & intellectual property
We retain rights in the platform, branding, and software. You retain rights in content you submit, but you grant us a limited licence to host, display, and process that content to operate the service (e.g. show your application to the relevant organisation).
6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by Finnish and EU law (including mandatory consumer protections), we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or third-party actions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (e.g. gross negligence or intent where applicable).
7. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
Consumer disputes may be submitted to the competent courts or alternative dispute resolution bodies applicable in your jurisdiction.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by law.
These documents are provided for transparency. They do not replace legal advice. If you need binding terms for your organisation, consult a qualified lawyer.
